Description
Music brings the whole world together: first a violin concerto that Johannes Brahms, who came from Hamburg but made Vienna his home, wrote during a summer spent on the shores of the Wörthersee – and which goes on an excursion to the Puszta in the finale – then the no less magnificent symphony by his Bohemian colleague Antonín Dvořák, which brought him particular success in England at the time. The soloist Sayaka Shoji was born in Tokyo, grew up in Siena, studied in Cologne and is now, like Romanian conductor Gabriel Bebeșelea, who spent some of his student years in Vienna, a success on international podiums. Plus the Tonkunstler Orchestra – and a harmony beyond all measure is complete.
