Ink Still Wet

Ricardo Ferro is a Venezuelan-Canadian composer, conductor and pianist. Recent and upcoming engagements as a composer and performer include a premiere by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra in partnership with the American Composers Orchestra, performances at the Metropolitan Museum, a summer tour with Continuum Contemporary Music, and a series of world premieres at the Juilliard School. Upon obtaining his bachelor's degree, Ricardo was awarded the Governor General’s Silver Medal at the University of Toronto, an honor awarded by Canadian universities to their top graduating student. Ricardo is pursuing a master’s degree in composition at The Juilliard School, studying with Matthias Pintscher.

The Upper Austrian composer Tina Geroldinger (born 2000) is currently completing her bachelor's degree in composition at the Anton Bruckner Private University Linz and is also studying art history-philosophy. Her works have won several awards and have been performed at various venues in Austria, including the International Bruckner Festival in Linz, the Sargfabrik in Vienna, Aspekte Festival Salzburg and Styriarte Festival in Graz. The young composer has now also gained an international foothold and this year was privileged to work with Aarhus Sinfonietta (DK) and the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra (BEL). She was also selected as a participant in the Ink Still Wet composer conductor workshop in Grafenegg. For her extraordinary performance, the province of Upper Austria awarded her the Talent Promotion Award in the field of music in 2022.

Roman Czura, born in Darmstadt in 1989, studied composition in Kraków (Bachelor), Rīga and Katowice (Master and Doctorate), where he teaches instrumentation and score reading, among other things, at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music, is also co-initiator of the podcast Szymanowski Radio, and has founded a composition class at the Mieczysław Karłowicz School of Music.
His main compositional focus is on orchestral and chamber music. He is particularly interested in questions of instrumentation, the exploration of extended playing techniques and polyrhythmic/polymetric structures, and most recently the weaving of microtonal elements into his tonal language, which is rooted in the European musical tradition - although he is no stranger to a penchant for tonal beauty and a narrative formal language.
His works have been performed in Europe, Asia and the USA and have won prizes at numerous competitions.

Conductor and composer Joseph Bozich appears in the 2023 season as a Conducting Fellow at Aspen Music Festival, assistant conductor with Opera Neo (San Diego), and a Conductor-Composer Fellow at the Ink Still Wet Workshop of Campus Grafenegg. Previous engagements include serving as assistant conductor for productions at the Hungarian State Opera and Pittsburgh Festival Opera. His compositions have been performed by the Donald Sinta Quartet and Latitude 49. He is artistic advisor and associate conductor with the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra. He holds a Master of Music in Orchestral Conducting from the University of Michigan.

Born 21.12.1989 in the Czech Republic. Studied composition at the MUK and MDW in Vienna (class of Prof. Liebhart, Essl and ter Schiphorst). He has won several international composition competitions - such as the Gustav Mahler Competition, Guin-Joan-Prize, FIMS or Theodor-Körner-Prize and has also received several commissions such as for Festival Achtbrücke in Cologne, Wien Modern and Carinthischer Sommer or ZKM Karlsruhe as well as State Opera Warsaw. He is also active as a performer of electronic music and deals with electroacoustic and spectral processes in his doctoral thesis (class of Prof. Schröder). Since 2020 he has been a university assistant at the Janacek Academy in Brno (composition department).
